Surface Shield gives a unique, long lasting protection against all common bacteria and virus strains including MRSA, C.diff, H1N1, Salmonella, E.coli, HIV, Aspergillus and Coronavirus that may be present on everyday surfaces & materials. It provides a water-stabilised, non-toxic shield on all hard surfaces and materials which will remain active for up to 14 days even when washed down frequently or exposed to the outdoor elements. The molecules of this barrier coating actually puncture the cells of any bacteria and viruses and give off a positive charge which destroys it.

Surface Shield can be used wherever the highest standards of hygiene are required such as in healthcare and food processing environments and is ideal for all outdoor leisure activities, festivals, camping, fitness gyms, hospitals and nursing homes, schools, workplaces and anywhere a risk of infection is either present or possible from close contact with many different people and  also risk of cross contamination. The product’s effectiveness has been tested against commonly occurring bacteria, yeast and viruses that are known to be highly transmittable resulting in infections and serious or fatal illnesses. These microorganisms can survive in an active state on many types of hard surfaces for several days, so the residual properties of our product removes this invisible threat.

Instructions for use

Product is ready to use.

For hard surfaces – simply spray some Surface Shield onto the previously cleaned surface and spread it with a clean cloth over the complete area being treated and leave it to air dry. For sensitive areas such as electronic/electrical equipment spray the product cloth onto the cloth first, then wipe over the surfaces and leave to air dry.

For carpets & upholstery – use as a post spray after cleaning, for best results use a 500050 T-Jet fan type nozzle by spraying using a pressure sprayer.

Can also be used as a sanitiser via fogging machines.

The dried protective coating is completely safe to children and pets.

Unlike most disinfectant which commonly use chlorine as their active ingredient, surface shield uses a water-stabilised organosilane formula. Typical surface disinfectants or inhibitors used in hospitals generally provide no more than ten minutes of residual protection.

How does it work?

Surface Shield uses a technology that not only cleans and disinfects any surface but also protects it from microbes that land on the treated surface once it is dry.

  1. The microbe lands on the treated surface
  2. The microbe is then pulled onto the molecule by strong electrostatic forces
  3. The microbe is then pierced and killed

The science behind Surface Shield

Surface Shield’s technology forms a covalent bond which allows it to remain affixed to any hard or soft surface. The surface is then positively charged generated by a nitrogen molecule, which pulls in negatively charged microbes. Through a long chain carbon, this unique assembly penetrates the cytoplasmic membrane physically stabbing the cell releasing ions, denaturing proteins and causing cytoplasm to leak so the cell is then destroyed. This renders the microbe dead and incapable of any adaptation.

Surface shield - very satisfied

2 x 5L of surface shield were delivered exceptionally quickly.
They were the only consumer long acting virucide that I could find and (touch wood) we’ve managed to not spread Covid to the two vulnerable members of the house.
Worked well in my ULV fogger and applied as a hand spray for high frequency surfaces like the kitchen cupboards and soft furnishings with no marking anywhere that I can see.
Technical support prior to purchase to check suitability of the product for our purpose was very good too. The first person didn’t have the data I needed and offered a call back from the appropriate person in an agreed short period of time. That call came back to me and the person gave me all of the info that I’d asked for.
Very pleased and will buy again when our left over quantity is used up.
