What is Sub Surface Extraction?

Sub Surface Extraction is used by professional carpet cleaners to thoroughly remove contaminants, liquids, and odour WITHOUT removing carpet or padding. Sub surface extraction is the best method for flushing out contaminants that cause of reappearing odours and spots.

How To Perform Sub Surface Extraction

STEP 1: Saturate the affected areas with a cleaning solution like M-Power. Allow the cleaning solution to seep deep into the carpet’s backing, padding, and subfloor, in order to target the entire odour source. The solution will work to rehydrate, emulsify, and break down organic soil and pet urine solids in preparation for extraction and rinsing.

STEP 2: Finish by using the the SOS PRO with an extractor or truck mount to flush out the solution and contaminants from the carpet.

Beautifully made piece of equipment which comes complete in its own carrying bag. I easily recouped the initial purchase price of the Claw along with some good profits on the very first flood job that I attended. Beautifully made piece of equipment which comes complete in its own carrying bag. I easily recouped the initial purchase price of the Claw along with some good profits on the very first flood job that I attended. The poor unfortunate homeowner had a burst frozen pipe in his loft and the following flooding happened at night while everyone was asleep, so as you can imagine the flooding was extensive. The Water Claw along with my air movers performed brilliantly that night (and following day) saving nearly all of the saturated carpets from what would have been their total ruin.
The Water Claw is also an extremely useful tool when it comes to extracting cases of very bad pet urine contamination, just locally flood the contaminated areas with M-Power (great care to be taken upstairs) mixed up at 1:80, dwell, then set the Water Claw into action (customers love seeing the urine being sucked out) followed up with rinse extraction using Final Phase to complete the treatment.
